Structural Properties


Body
The base frame is made of 3mm hot dipped galvanized steel and adequately reinforced by 2mm hot dipped galvanized steel joists in order to withstand the maximum allowable loads. The complete base is a welded assembly and all welds are cleaned and treated with zinc primer. 3mm thick non-slip aluminum decking is fastened directly to the upper part of the base frame.

Six (6) posts made of 3mm thick hot dipped galvanized steel are fastened on each corner and on the middle of the long sides of the base frame. The posts are joined with hot dipped galvanized steel profiles, creating a rigid framework on which the wall/roof panels are fixed.

The walls are made from 25mm to 100mm thick insulating polyurethane panels and panel joints are specially designed to ensure waterproofness. The thermal transmittance coefficient is Κ<0,344 Kcal/m2hC. The external and internal panel cladding is made of 0.5mm thick hot dipped galvanized steel coated with polyester paint.


Roof
The roof is made of insulating polyurethane trapezoid panels The external and internal panel cladding is made of 0.5mm thick hot dipped galvanized steel coated with white polyester paint. The thermal transmittance coefficient is Κ<0,29 Kcal/m2hC.

The roof panels are joined together and form a solid piece, which is placed onto the wall panels ensuring the waterproofness of the construction.

Between the roof and wall panels special mastic is applied perimetrically. The roof panels are fastened onto the wall panels and the perimetrical gap is sealed with Ceresit CP42.

A steel fascia is fitted at high level around the perimeter of the building. A gutter is integrally fixed along both longitudinal sides.

Doors
The doors and the frame are made of heavy duty aluminum profile. Both door leaf and door frame profiles are equipped with special EPDM profile to prev ent the ingress of moisture and contaminates to the building.

The door leaf is made of a 25mm to 40mm polyurethane panel (polyurethane density 4 0kgr/m3). The thermal transmittance coefficient is Κ<0,69 Kcal/m2hC. The external door panel cladding is made of 0.5mm thick hot dipped galvanized steel coated with polyester paint.

Four (4) hinges support every door leaf. Each door is secured by a cylinder barrel, and the handle can be operated either externally or internally. A door retainer (hook&eye) is fitte d to hold the door open at a fixed position during maintenance.

 

Ventilation
The equipment building is equipped with openings in the MVLV compartment. The outer side of the opening is covered with aluminum louvers.

The T/F compartment is equipped with one (1) air inlet open ing for the proper T/F operation. The outer side of the air inlet opening is covered with aluminum louver. One (1) fan is installed in the T/F compartment. The outer side of the fan is covered with steel cowl.

Electrical installation
The building is equipped with waterproof lighting fixtures. Externally there waterproof lighting fixtures fixed above the doors.
Above the MVLV compartment door, emergency lights are fixed.
1.5mm2 cables are used for lighting and 2.5mm 2 cables for power supplies.

Lifting & Supporting Angles
The substation is equipped with suspension points to lift and to install the building on the concrete base.
